When Beignets Fly: Drones in America
The future of drone delivery is bright – but last weekend in New Orleans, it was also sweet. MarketScale’s own Zach Werblo, Director of Original Content ,and Grant Guillot, Host of Drones in America – headed to Louisiana for a special delivery.
Zing Drone performed a delivery of Cafe du Monde’s famous beignets from the Moonwalk alongside the Mississippi River across the water to the Algiers Point neighborhood. Zing made the nearly half-mile flight across the river in just two minutes. Sometimes you have to see it to believe it.
This #NewOrleans family (who gave me permission to film) witnessed @zing_delivery’s historic nighttime (w/ waiver) #dronedelivery of #CafeDuMonde #beignets. Host Guillot and MarketScale are set to release a special episode of Drones in America focusing on the event, which saw Zing make five successful drone deliveries – four of which occurred between civil twilight and nightfall in spite of deteriorating weather conditions brought on by fog.
Drones in America, a MarketScale original series, guides listeners and viewers through the complex web of technology and policy for drones in the United States.
