What The Medical Field Is Looking For In Its Future Workforce

March 14, 2019
Education does not stop when an employee is hired. For industries to innovate and develop, learning must continue on the job. Although the economy and job market is currently strong, a skilled workforce will be key to sustaining it. For human employees to stay relevant and more valuable than machines, training on the job will be critical.

In healthcare, the medical robotics market is valued at $7.24 billion and is predicted to grow to more than $20 billion by 2023. With this movement accelerating, it only puts more urgency on humans to adapt to new role or learn the traits that will be valued going forward.
While there is a whole world of AI/robotics being developed in medicine, they will not replace surgeons, whose expertise will remain critical. But clearly, training in the use of AI and other software programs is an important consideration right now.
