Building the MarketScale Gaming Community
MarketScale enables B2B companies to build and engage with their communities. Just as much as we love to help our clients achieve those goals, we like to build our internal MarketScale community as well. One way we build community and enhance our company culture at MarketScale is through the enjoyable and fun pastime of video games.
From Oregon Trail on an original (and working) 1984 Mac in our lobby to playing Mario Party on a Nintendo Switch in our gaming corner, our employees get together and enjoy some time during the work-day to have a little fun and connect with their coworkers.
The video games during the day have even turned into video game tournaments after work including pizza, of course, and a $100 prize to the winner of the bracket. We celebrate the community and the passion of the art of video games from our employees and it has been great to see them put together these events and have fun with it.
Along with building our MarketScale community, our employees say that the video game breaks even help them to focus more on their work and improves dexterity and problem-solving skills.
“We were casually talking about playing video games during our lunch break and during one of those conversations Ben encouraged us to buy a Switch for the office and set up a gaming corner, so we took the opportunity and ran with it.
I would say playing games during lunch is a way to take our mind off our immediate work and reset, so when we go back to our tasks we can focus better. I also think it exercises the brain in terms of problem solving and dexterity.
Ultimately, it gives us a chance to have fun and have some friendly competition with our teammates.” – Cristian Jimenez, 3D Artist
With an Esports Stadium that was built right down the road in Arlington, we are in the perfect spot to not only be able to enjoy all the events that the video game industry has to offer but also we are proud to say we can do that right here in our office in Downtown Dallas.
