How Can You Scale Your Corporate Training?

Corporate eLearning is rapidly changing. It’s no longer boring, check the box training for compliance or HR. Online learning is now fueling the new pace of business, educating internal staff, external partners, and customers about the brand, products, and solutions. A major player in this evolution is Northpass, a customizable learning platform that serves startups and Fortune 500 companies. Northpass CEO and Founder, Steve Cornwell, shares his insights on the impact of corporate eLearning on this episode of the Voices of eLearning.

Founding the company came from realizing there was a challenge in scaling training within his former company. “Scaling to train our network of partners and customers was the problem. It was manual. There had to be a better, more cost-effective way to do this. Technology to train audiences was good at solving HR problems but not created for educating about a product,” Cornwell said.

After leaving that company, he created Northpass to bridge this gap. Since its debut in 2013, technology has gotten better, but some of the same training issues remain. Now those have been further complicated with the pandemic. Cornwell said, “Looking at trends, the pivot from instructor-led to online learning or virtual instructors has been huge. The pandemic has certainly forced this.”

The adoption of eLearning has seen new faces as well. It’s not just for enterprises. Smaller and mid-market companies can now access it. Their embrace of it is making a difference with the customer experience. Cornwell shared that more human services industries are leveraging it. He added, “Customer experience leaders are embracing learning as a critical enabler to enhance the customer experience.”

Northpass is playing a role in this new way of learning but doing so seamlessly. Cornwell commented, “We want Northpass to be invisible to the learner but impactful to the company. We should be presenting the right when and where people need it for a seamless experience.”
